Gloves that fit the hand nicely will add elegance to the whole look. Therefore, they must fit exactly to the size of the hand. At the time of purchase, you should know exactly how to determine the size of the gloves.

If you do not know the size of gloves that suits you, you need to measure the circumference of the right hand with a centimeter, starting at the 5th metacarpophalangeal joint. The girth of the hand, expressed in centimeters, can be rounded to the nearest whole number and will be your size. Women's gloves are produced starting from the 17th number and ending with the 30th number. Men's gloves are produced from 20 to 32 numbers. According to individual orders of companies selling gloves, manufacturers make gloves in large sizes: for women - from 24 to 30, for men - from 31 to 38. However, there is another older system of sizes, by which you can also determine the size of gloves. It is sometimes found on labels.
According to the old system, the following sizes are made: for women - 6, 6 and a half, 7, 7 and a half, 8, for men - 7 and a half, 8, 8 and a half, 9, 9 and a half, 10. Removing the size from the hand for in order to find out the size of the gloves, it is carried out around the circumference of the widest palmar part of the hand with a centimeter. The number obtained in millimeters should be divided by 27 (because the size of gloves is measured in conventional units; approximately one unit corresponds to 27 mm). Expressed in millimeters rounded to the nearest whole number, the circumference of your hand is your size. For example, if the circumference is 202 mm, dividing by 27 mm results in a glove size of seven and a half.
Leather gloves with a lining, made especially for the winter period, should be chosen a quarter of the size larger than simple gloves. Then they will warm their hands much better.
In order for the gloves you choose to fit your hand perfectly and sit well, you must not only be able to correctly identify their number, but also be able to put them on your hand correctly. Do not immediately put on the glove on all five fingers and then pull it on, holding it by the hem. By such actions, you can tear the glove, and it will look ugly on your hand. To begin with, you need to pull it only four fingers, while wrapping the hem. When your fingers fit correctly and tightly in the glove, you must also put your thumb in, while wrapping the half-half. Now the worn glove is gently smoothed out by hand so that there are no wrinkles on it.
