It is necessary

  • - the cloth;
  • - scissors;
  • - iron;
  • - pins;
  • - tape measure;
  • - threads;
  • - sewing machine;
  • - tailor's chalk.

Step 1

Take three measurements: waist, hip and length.

Step 2

On the fabric, measure the length of the skirt, taking into account the seam allowances and hem.

Step 3

Calculate the width of the panel based on the depth of the sweet, which should be two of its widths.

Step 4

Cut the fabric from hem to hem. The second and third panels of the product are cut in the same way.

Step 5

Spread them out on the wrong side of the table and mark the line of the hips. Set aside the height of the hips from the top cut. Add 1 cm of seam allowance.

Step 6

Mark the depth and width of the folds with tailor's chalk. Sweep and iron the folds.

Step 7

Pin from the seamy side of the skirt along the side cuts. Stitch the seams. Sew one of these from the bottom to the hip line, then sew perpendicular to the line where the edges of the folds meet. Overcast seam allowances.

Step 8

Baste the waistband to the top of the skirt. Try on the product.

Step 9

Cut off the excess length along the upper edge of the skirt. Remove the extra width at the depth of the folds.

Step 10

Cut the depth of the fold at the back edge of the loose cut. Leave 0.5 cm of uncut fabric until the edges of the folds converge.

Step 11

Baste and iron the depth of the fold.

Step 12

Place the zipper under the cut edges. Stitch along the edge. Do the same for the other half of the zipper.

Step 13

Sew on the belt.
