Step 1
On the area of the jeans that needs to be darned, mark the location of the future patch. Make a pattern for the patch, transfer it to the fabric and cut it out carefully. Sweep the finished patch around all edges. You can do this with your hands or on a sewing machine using a zigzag stitch.
Step 2
Now attach the patch with the right side to the inside of the jeans, secure with pins and baste. It is best to sew a patch on a sewing machine with a thin zigzag to the edge of the overcast.
Step 3
Now turn the jeans right out. Most often, jeans form holes in the form of scuffs or the fabric just bursts in several places nearby. The patch fixes the damaged area, but the holes themselves, if they are small, do not close. On the front side, fix small holes on the patch using machine stitching back and forth or zigzag as you like.
