A well-chosen eye shadow not only enhances the color of the eyes, but can also refresh and make the entire face more attractive. If the color of the shadows is chosen unsuccessfully - the eyes will look dull and faded, if the texture of the shadows is incorrectly selected - all the makeup will look sloppy. To prevent this from happening, when choosing shadows, you need to follow certain recommendations.

Instructions
Step 1
Choose the right eye shadow according to your eye color. A safe eye shadow color that suits absolutely any eye color is gray. Since the gray palette has a wide variety of shades, even with just one palette with 4-6 shades of gray, you can make several makeup options.
Step 2
The most suitable shades for brown eyes are pale purple and chocolate. If you are a brunette or a dark brown-haired woman, black and olive shades are also good for you. Red-haired and light brown-haired women, as well as brown-eyed blondes with a warm skin tone, pistachio and golden-nut shadows will suit their face. Do not use orange and pink eye shadows. They can make brown eyes look tired and sore.
Step 3
Gray-eyed women are best suited for silver-gray shades with a metallic sheen, as well as gray-blue and gray-beige shades. If you have blonde hair, you can also use lilac, purple and green eyeshadow for gray eyes. For owners of dark hair and gray eyes, dark blue and burgundy shades are suitable. In general, gray eye color is neutral, so shades are most suitable for it, however, gray-eyed women should still avoid yellow, green and orange shadows.
Step 4
The best shades for blue eyes are tawny, desaturated pink, lavender, lavender, and silver gray. Blue-eyed brunettes can experiment with hot pink and blue eyeshadows. Blondes can try enhancing their eye color with rich golden brown or bronze eyeshadows. If blue eyes have a gray tint, they can be accentuated with turquoise shadows. Green shades are not suitable for blue eyes.
Step 5
Green eyes are best emphasized with peach-brown, gray-beige, copper with a reddish tint, rich purple and lilac shades. It is not advisable to use bright green eyeshadow for green eyes. The only exception is red-haired women, green shadows can suit them. For green-eyed blondes, it is better to use pastel shades of brown and peach, for brunettes - silver, gold and copper shades. Pink and blue eyeshadows are usually not suitable for those with green eyes.
Step 6
Competent selection of shadows means finding not only the right color, but also the texture. The most popular and common are dry eyeshadows (compact and crumbly). Since there is no moisture in dry eyeshadows, they last longer. It is quite easy to apply and remove such shadows. On oily skin, dry shadows sometimes roll. If you have oily skin, you should first powder your eyelids and then apply dry eyeshadow. This way the shadows will last longer and will not roll. If you wear contact lenses, it is not advisable to use dry eyeshadow. Particles of such shadows will create discomfort when they hit the cornea.
Step 7
Liquid cream shadows do not cause any inconvenience when wearing lenses. They are also very persistent. However, applying them is more difficult - the shadow dries quickly and can lie unevenly. Sometimes liquid shadows accumulate in the folds of the eyelids, which looks sloppy. This effect occurs if the skin of the eyelids is oily or if too much shadow is applied. Therefore, cream shadows are best used if the skin on the eyelids is dry. For oily skin, you can use a liquid eye shadow in the form of a gel - they are quite persistent and look natural.
