It is necessary

  • - henna;
  • - gloves;
  • - an old towel;
  • - brush;
  • - cream;
  • - film;
  • - essential oil.

Step 1

First of all, evaluate your hair and decide if you can use henna. If your hair has been recently dyed with a chemical dye or curled with chemistry, then you cannot use henna, because the result can be the most unexpected shade. It is not uncommon for the hair to turn green after dyeing with henna and this color remains for a very long time. You should also not use henna if you have a lot of gray hair.

Step 2

Prepare everything you need to color your hair. Keep in mind that henna should be gray-green, and if it has acquired a brown color, then it was most likely stored in inappropriate conditions - it has lost its coloring properties. For long hair, 200 g of henna will be required, and for short hair, 50 g.

Step 3

Prepare a dye mixture. Dilute henna with hot, but not boiling water, mix thoroughly until smooth. Add 5-6 drops of essential oil to the mixture, which will help to distribute the dye more evenly and give the dyed dark hair a deeper color.

Step 4

Rinse and dry your hair. Apply the prepared cream along the edge of the hair so that the skin does not stain. Cover your shoulders with a towel so as not to stain your clothes. Keep in mind that it is almost impossible to wash off henna.

Step 5

Apply the color to your hair. You need to start from the back of the head and from the roots. It is advisable to apply henna while it is still warm. Then cover your head with plastic wrap and wrap it on top with a towel. In order for dark hair to dye well, henna should be kept for at least 30-40 minutes. Brunettes can increase the procedure from 1, 5-2 to 8 hours.

Step 6

Rinse off the henna with warm water until the water is clear. Do not use shampoo. Henna color usually appears some time after dyeing. The sun or solarium helps in this process.
