If you want to significantly change your hair color, for example, from a burning brunette to a frivolous blonde, you will have to carry out such a procedure as hair bleaching. After all, if you just apply light paint to your hair, then instead of blond, your curls will become the color of mahogany or dark chocolate, but in no way the coveted shade of blond.

It is necessary

  • - hair whitening powder;
  • - hydrogen peroxide;
  • - application brush;
  • - thin polyethylene gloves;
  • - shampoo;
  • - air conditioning.

Step 1

Put on rubber gloves. They will protect your hands from peroxide burns. Prepare a plastic container for mixing bleach with hydrogen peroxide. As a last resort, glass or porcelain containers are suitable, which you do not plan to use for food after that, but in no case metal containers, since the metal can react with your chemicals.

Step 2

Mix the bleaching powder with hydrogen peroxide in the proportion indicated on the package. Achieve a smooth and uniform paste. Apply to hair starting from the ends from the back of the head to the face. Apply bleach last to the hair roots, as the heat from the scalp will make the lightening agent work on them more intensely, and if you start with them, you will not be able to achieve a more or less uniform color along the entire length.

Step 3

Try to avoid getting bleach on your face or scalp. Apply petroleum jelly or greasy cream along the hairline. If you accidentally drip bleach onto your skin, wipe it off immediately with a cloth or paper towel dipped in warm water.

Step 4

Put a transparent plastic cap on your hair and wait for the time indicated on the bleach package. Check for changes in hair color visually. At first they will be brown, then they will become closer to red. If you see that your hair is sufficiently discolored, although the specified time has not yet expired, rinse off the bleach without waiting for the specified period to pass.

Step 5

You can spray a warm stream from a hair dryer on your hair to speed up the bleaching process, but in this case, be sure to keep the regulator at the minimum setting.

Step 6

Wash your hair with shampoo. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Apply an intense conditioner and keep it on for at least 10-15 minutes.
