The desire to change in order to look attractive is inherent in any woman. Hair tinting is one of the easiest and safest ways to change your appearance. But not many have enough time and opportunity for regular visits to a beauty salon. The question of how to properly lighten and tone hair at home and at the same time preserve their beauty and health is asked by many of the fair sex.
How to properly lighten hair at home
Hair lightening procedure requires careful and painstaking approach. When lightening, the dark pigment of the hair is removed from its top layer and replaced with a lighter one. To lighten hair at home, you can, first of all, resort to folk methods. The safest remedies are chamomile, kefir and honey.
2 tablespoons of dried chamomile flowers should be poured with 200 ml of boiling water, tightly closed with a lid and let it brew. After the broth has cooled, it must be filtered. This liquid can be used to rinse your hair after shampooing. You can also make a lightening mask from a decoction of chamomile. Then 60 g of glycerin must be added to the cooled broth. Apply the mixture to dry hair. Cover your head with a towel, after putting on a plastic cap or bag. The mask must be kept for 40 minutes, then wash your hair with shampoo.
Honey masks give a good lightening effect. Before applying honey, wash your hair with a shampoo with ¼ teaspoon of baking soda. Then the hair must be thoroughly dried. Warm honey slightly in a water bath before applying. After applying the mask, the head must be wrapped. To achieve a good effect, the mask must be kept on the hair for up to 10 hours, so this procedure is best done at night. Then the head should be washed with regular shampoo. The use of honey allows you to achieve hair lightening by 3 tones.
To lighten hair at home, you can make a kefir mask. Just warm up the kefir a little and apply it to dry hair along the entire length. It is not necessary to wash your hair before applying such a mask. Then wrap your head up and leave the mask on for 1 hour.
You can also lighten your hair with special dyes. But they must be used very carefully.
How to tint your hair at home
Hair tinting involves dyeing with light tint products that are gentle on the hair. You can tint your hair with special coloring agents or with the help of special shampoos.
When toning after lightening, you need to choose a color close to your natural hair color, but it should be 1-2 shades darker. It is worth remembering that natural shades will not paint over bleached hair, so it is better to choose brown. It is also important to know that on lightened hair, as a result of toning, you will get a lighter shade than you have chosen.
Before toning, the hair should be washed with regular shampoo (without using balm) and dried slightly. Then start applying paint. To do this, divide the hair into 4 zones: parting from ear to ear and parting from the middle of the forehead to the neck. First, apply the dye to the lightened hair on the back of the head, then to the areas near the face. And only after that - on the overgrown roots. The hair dyeing time depends on the dye used, on average 20 minutes. No need to wrap your head. After the time has passed, rinse the dye well with water and rinse your hair with your usual shampoo.
