An epilator is a device that removes hair thanks to small tweezers located on a rotating drum. The tweezers grab the hair and pull it out along with the root. Legs remain smooth for several weeks after using the epilator.
It is necessary
- - peeling, scrub or hard washcloth;
- - lidocaine in the form of a spray or solution for injection;
- - novocaine ointment;
- - chlorhexidine solution;
- - 3% hydrogen peroxide solution;
- - lotion that slows down hair growth.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure that the hair on your legs is at least 5 mm, otherwise the tweezers of the epilator will not be able to grab them.
Step 2
Prepare your leg skin. Remove the dead skin layer with a peel, scrub or hard washcloth. This procedure is best done while taking a hot shower or bath. The skin will steam out, the cells of the epidermis will be easier to remove, and the hairs will be pulled out during epilation.
Step 3
Pat your skin dry. If it gets wet, you can get an electric shock.
Step 4
Position the epilator at the bottom of your lower leg perpendicular to your skin and remove hair from the bottom up, i.e. against their growth. Epilating your legs from top to bottom will not completely remove the hair.
Step 5
Try to move the epilator slowly over your skin so that the tweezers can catch the hairs. If you run the epilator quickly, the tweezers will only pull out the hair shaft, leaving the root in the hair follicle. After a few days, the hair from the roots remaining in the skin will begin to grow again.
Step 6
Do not press on the skin with the epilator head, this will cause irritation.
Step 7
If it hurts, then reduce the speed of rotation of the drum, tighten the skin, massage over the epilation site, or interrupt the procedure for a short time. If pain persists, then use any anesthetic. It can be lidocaine in the form of a spray or solution for injection, novocaine ointment. Apply anesthetics to the skin and wait until they dry completely. Then resume epilation.
Step 8
After epilation, treat your skin with an antiseptic solution such as chlorhexidine or 3% hydrogen peroxide. This will prevent inflammation and ingrown hairs. Apply a hair growth retarding lotion to your skin.
Step 9
Repeat epilation as soon as the hairs grow back to 5 mm. The more often you do this procedure, the faster and more painless it will become over time.
