Hair bleaching is usually done with hydrogen peroxide. This procedure can be performed at home, but the main thing is not to harm your hair. To minimize the side effect of staining, there are some tips to follow.
Discoloration should be carried out no earlier than 3-4 days after shampooing. The most common mistake is applying dye to damp hair. You shouldn't do this - this will wash away the layer of grease that protects them.
It is impossible to dilute hydrogen peroxide in a metal container, since an undesirable reaction can occur when its surface interacts with oxygen. The concentration of the solution should depend on the thickness of the hair. If they are thin, then a 3-6% peroxide solution is sufficient, for thick and thick hair an 8-12% solution is suitable. The amount of the mixture will depend on the thickness and length of the hair. If your hair is of medium length, then 50-60 grams will be enough. Accordingly, for long hair it will take 1.5-2 times more, and for short hair less. In this case, a solution with hydrogen peroxide must be prepared immediately before discoloration, making a small margin.
The process of lightening hair begins with lubricating the forehead at the hairline with a fat cream. The solution itself is applied from the back of the head. If the hair is short, then using a cotton swab, it is evenly distributed from the roots to the ends. On the other hand, for long undyed hair, the solution is applied first to the ends. As soon as all the hair is colored, it is combed and left on for about 20-30 minutes. At the same time, you do not need to cover your head with polyethylene, since without air access, the hair can easily burn.
If you only need to lighten the hair roots, then this can be done from a spray bottle with a 3% peroxide solution. This method is quite harmless, it can be applied once a week, so your hair roots will always be light. If you have dark hair, then prepare for the fact that the lightening procedure will take quite a long time. They will have to be dyed in 3-4 stages, while the interval between procedures should be at least a week, so that the hair can recover a little.
During the lightening process, carefully monitor the hair color and its condition. To do this, comb them at the temples and pay attention to the structure. Do not overdo it over time, it is better to underexpose the dye mixture on your hair a little than to overexpose.
After lightening, rinse your hair with a mild shampoo and rinse thoroughly with warm water. It is good if you apply a nourishing balm or mask to them. To help your hair recover faster after dyeing, you can add lemon juice to the rinse water.
