Carbon peeling is one of the options for surface cleaning of the epidermis, combining efficiency with low trauma. The procedure is carried out in beauty salons, the number of sessions depends on the type and condition of the skin.

Who is carbon peeling suitable for?
The essence of peeling is gentle exfoliation of dead cells of the epithelium. After the procedure, the skin becomes smoother and more tender, the pores are narrowed, the water-lipid balance is normalized. Local inflammation occurs much less frequently, the face stops flaking and itching. After cleaning, the care products are more effective and the make-up is smoother.
Carbon peeling is recommended for people who do not tolerate mechanical cleaning or acid procedures. It is suitable at the first signs of skin aging: fine wrinkles, dull complexion, enlarged pores. The procedure is able to remove excess oily skin and prevent inflammation.
Peeling is often recommended for adolescents suffering from juvenile acne. It is not able to remove traces of deep subcutaneous acne, but it prevents the appearance of new wen. There are no age-related contraindications for the carbonic procedure; if necessary, it is prescribed even for children.
Peeling consists of 3 stages. First, the skin is thoroughly cleansed with an antiseptic. Then a carbon gel (carbon dioxide) is applied to it. Drying, it attracts dead cells, the smallest particles of dirt, greasy plugs.
The final and most important stage is laser treatment of the face. Acting on the gel-coated skin, the beam absorbs impurities, while slightly warming the skin and stimulating blood flow. Gradually, the laser acts on the deeper layers of the epidermis. The process of photothermolysis takes place, during which there is an active growth of collagen fibers, the skin is denser and tightened.
The number of sessions depends on the skin type. For oily and problematic, 8-10 sessions are required, dry and sensitive 3 or 5 are enough. Cosmetologists prefer to use a gel and a laser of the same brand, the power of the device is regulated depending on the problems that need to be solved.
Pros and cons of the procedure
The great advantage of carbon peeling is painlessness. Slight redness and local peeling are possible, but the next day the skin becomes smooth and tender. Immediately after peeling, you can use skin care and decorative cosmetics. The procedure gives a very quick external effect, but it will not get rid of deep problems. On the other hand, carbon peeling can be recommended for people for whom chemical exfoliation is contraindicated.
Despite the mildness of the action, the procedure has contraindications. Carbon peeling is not recommended for people with cancer, people with severe skin lesions, or those who suffer from chronic diseases such as diabetes, tuberculosis or epilepsy. All types of peels are not indicated for pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is preferable to carry out the procedure in the cold season, when the sun's rays are less active and unable to provoke hyperpigmentation.
Many patients attribute a not very noticeable effect to the negative aspects of peeling. The skin improves gradually, minor defects are eliminated after several procedures, but if not properly treated, wrinkles and acne can return. However, the safety of the device and the gel allows sessions to be carried out quite often without fear of negative consequences.
