Contact lenses have been gaining in popularity lately. This is not surprising, since glasses do not provide such a clear "picture" that can be seen in lenses. Many girls prefer colored lenses to classic lenses. With their help, you can give a different color to your eyes and emphasize your individuality.
Colored contact lenses are purely decorative. They can be worn not only by people with poor eyesight, but also by those who want to briefly change their eye color. It is believed that colored lenses are harmful to the eyes, but this is not the case. On the contrary, thanks to the components of the dyes that impart color, the lenses prevent UV rays from reaching the cornea of the eye. But unlike classic lenses, they are less permeable to oxygen, so they can be worn no longer than 8 hours a day.
A variety of decorative lenses
Currently, there are 3 types of colored lenses, differing from each other in brightness and color effect:
1. Tinted lenses - this type does not change the color of the eyes, but only gives brightness to the natural shade. For example, light brown eyes can be made dark brown, lenses are almost colorless;
2. Colored lenses - this type of lens changes the color of the eyes, for example, from gray to green, such lenses have a rich color;
3. Carnival lenses - thanks to the drawings on the surface, such lenses create various effects (cat's eyes, hearts instead of pupils, and so on).
Tips for choosing lenses
Choose colored lenses based on natural color saturation. For example, if your eyes are naturally brown, you are unlikely to be able to make them bright blue with the help of lenses. The eyes should look natural. For brown eyes, you can choose lenses of a slightly lighter shade. For blue, gray and green eyes, almost all colored lens shades are suitable.
Please consult your ophthalmologist before purchasing decorative lenses. He will help in choosing a manufacturer and give the necessary recommendations for eye and lens care. If you experience discomfort or burning sensations in your eyes, you need to stop wearing lenses or buy new ones from another company.
How to care for colored lenses
You need to care for tinted lenses in the same way as for classic ones. Each time after removing the lenses, they must be rinsed and put into a container filled with a special solution. Most often, the same solution is suitable for both rinsing and storing lenses.
To rinse colored and carnival lenses, use a solution designed specifically for these types of lenses. You can store them in a regular solution.
All the funds along the way can be bought in the same place as contact lenses, or in pharmacies. Remember that storage solutions can also irritate the eyes. Redness, tearing and burning may indicate that the selected solution is not suitable, you must stop using it.
