Water marble manicure

Marble designs can be done with water. It takes a little preparation and some skill. What should be in stock:

  • wide bowl;
  • degreaser or acetone;
  • transparent base;
  • ordinary varnish - the background for the picture;
  • regular varnish of a contrasting color of medium consistency;
  • silver lacquer for a more believable marble effect;
  • alcohol-based spray for the formation of "veins on the stone";
  • liquid manicure tape or PVA glue, or fat cream, or petroleum jelly;
  • small foam sponge;
  • toothpick;
  • napkin;
  • tweezers;
  • cotton swabs;
  • protective nail cover (top).

So, how to do water marble manicure step by step.

  1. Perform a trim manicure: file the nail into the desired shape, remove the cuticle. Treat the surface of the nail with a grinding buff.
  2. Degrease the nail plate.
  3. Cover the nail with a base, let dry.
  4. Apply 1-2 coats of regular varnish as the base color of the marble. Dry. You can use gel polish if you have a special drying lamp.
  5. Apply liquid manicure tape or an alternative to the skin around the nail and fingertips.
  6. Put a little silver varnish on the foam sponge. Lightly blot the nail with a sponge so that the specks are imprinted. Try it on paper first.
  7. Pour water into a bowl. It shouldn't be hot or cold.
  8. Drop a varnish of a different color into the water, in harmony with the original.
  9. Spray onto the resulting varnish stain to create pattern and texture.
  10. If 2 or more colors are used in water, then the pattern is formed with a toothpick.
  11. Dip your finger in water so that the nail plate is in full contact with the floating varnish.
  12. Remove the remaining varnish from the water with a cotton swab.
  13. Remove the finger carefully. Dry with a napkin.
  14. Remove the liquid manicure tape with tweezers.
  15. Apply top to the nail.

Marble manicure using film

Beautiful marble nails are obtained by using cling film to apply the pattern. The algorithm for preparing the nail here is the same as for the water method. You must complete the first 5 steps of the instructions above. It should be noted that the main color in this case will play the role of veins.

  1. Cut the film into squares with a side of 10 cm, crush loose balls.
  2. On the dried varnish, apply a different tone suitable for the combination. This color will be the main color of the stone.
  3. Blot the wet top layer with a film lump, creating an imitation of marble streaks.
  4. Remove the liquid manicure tape.
  5. Apply top to the nail.

Using gel polish and a brush

If you don't want to rely on chance, but you can draw marble veins by hand, then the third way to simulate marble on your nails is best. A thin brush will serve as an additional tool. You will also need a lamp to dry your gel polish.

  1. Perform the necessary steps to prepare the nail plate: file, degrease, apply a base. Dry everything well.
  2. Place 2 drops of top and one drop of gel polish with an alternative color base on the palette.
  3. With a brush, dilute the paint in two tops so that, as a result, three shades of color are obtained on the palette: light, slightly darker and dark.
  4. Apply one layer of gel polish of the main tone to the nails. Do not dry.
  5. Draw a marble pattern on wet gel polish. Dry with a lamp.
  6. If desired, you can make a second layer for the effect of a three-dimensional picture.
  7. Cover the manicure with a top.

For marble design, any colors and their combinations are used: both as close to natural as possible, and bold unusual. White with black and gray, pink with gray and white, nude, beige, blue, pistachio. And also bright: burgundy, green, red, blue, purple.
