Today, a pedicure is offered in many beauty salons, not always giving a guarantee that any infection will not be brought in during the procedure. It is quite possible, moreover, safely, to put the legs in order at home.
It is worth considering that for a full-fledged pedicure, you need to allocate an hour and a half time and stock up on the necessary tools: pedicure scissors, cuticle tweezers, files for grinding and polishing, a brush or pumice stone for the feet. It is advisable to have separators for the fingers and a wooden stick to push back the cuticle. If you seriously decide to do a pedicure at home, it is better to buy a special set for this procedure right away than to purchase instruments one at a time. In addition, you need to prepare a bowl of warm enough water and a towel in advance, as well as a foot cream, which is best nourishing.
The first step is to prepare for a pedicure. To do this, you need to wash your feet and remove the varnish from your nails. The next step is to steam your legs: they must be kept in warm water with the addition of sea salt or shower gel until the skin becomes soft and pale pink. This will take about 10 minutes. After that, the hardened part of the foot must be removed with a pumice stone. At the end of the procedure, wipe your feet dry with a towel. After steaming, the nails become soft. At this time, they need to be carefully trimmed.
With a good manicure, the nails on all fingers, except for the thumb, should be trimmed short (evenly or in a semicircle). Keep your thumbnail slightly longer to protect your toe from shoe rubbing and calluses.
The next step is to tidy up the nail plate. It is better to apply a special emollient (cream or gel) to the cuticle, then push it back with a stick. The clipped nails should be filed from the edges towards the center. After that, carefully grind and polish the nail plate itself.
When the nails are in order, you can start peeling the foot. For him, you need to arrange another bath, then wipe your feet dry and use a pumice stone and a file to get rid of the remnants of the hardened skin. If there are corns on the foot, they can be carefully removed with tweezers and then with a file. If you have a pedicure set, it is better to use the razor that comes with it. The peeling ends with the application of a scrub and, after the feet are completely dry, a nourishing cream.
When doing a pedicure, you can simply apply the cream, but cosmetologists advise periodically pampering the legs with any vegetable oil, adding a couple of drops of any aromatic oil to it. It will serve as an excellent nourishing and emollient.
Now it remains to varnish the nails. In order for it to last longer, the nails must first be wiped with a special agent without acetone and, if possible, covered with a base for varnish. It is recommended to apply the varnish in two layers, after complete drying it is advisable to apply a fixer.
This time-consuming procedure is required every two weeks. And during all this time, it is necessary to maintain the beauty of the legs: apply a cream and deodorant every day, use a foot scrub once a week, regularly file nails if necessary, monitor the quality of the varnish.
