Step 1

Sweating can vary. Sweaty armpits and sweaty feet are most common. Some people suffer from sweating of the hands, namely the palms. The way to get rid of sweat depends on which area is problematic for you.

Step 2

The most popular remedy for underarm sweating is, of course, a variety of deodorants and antiperspirants that you can buy at any supermarket. The principle of action of these funds is different. Deodorants mask the smell of sweat, and also slow down the reproduction of bacteria on the skin, which causes this odor. Antiperspirants, thanks to the aluminum salts they contain, block the sweat glands, that is, "lock" sweat inside. In addition, there are antiperspirant deodorants that combine both functions. When buying and using these products, you must follow certain rules: a. Only apply deodorants and antiperspirants to a clean body b. Try to use antiperspirants no more than once a day. More frequent use is fraught with inflammation of the sweat glands due to clogged pores. Look for deodorants that contain chlorhexidine and triclosan. These substances effectively fight bacteria that cause sweat odor d. If you have sensitive skin, choose alcohol-free deodorants and antiperspirants. It is even better if the antiperspirant contains skin emollients such as cyclomethicone and glycerin.

Step 3

There are also special deodorants for sweating feet. They usually contain antibacterial antifungal agents, menthol cooling and refreshing skin, and moisture-absorbing talc. These foot deodorants are quite effective, but they should be used regularly and only on cleanly washed feet.

Step 4

Thanks to a variety of deodorants, severe sweating of the armpits and legs is significantly reduced, but it is not always possible to completely solve the problem with their help. Therefore, use other methods in the fight against sweating. For example, medicinal herbs, such as oak and willow bark, can be quite effective against sweating. Pour 1 tablespoon of willow bark and 1 tablespoon of oak bark with a liter of boiling water, boil the bark for 10 minutes. The resulting infusion can be wiped off the armpits twice a day, as well as to make foot baths with it.

Step 5

You can also fight sweating of the legs and armpits with the help of Teymurov's paste, which is sold at the pharmacy. The paste should be applied to cleanly washed problem areas for 10-15 minutes once a week.

Step 6

If you suffer from sweating of the hands, check for endocrinological problems first, as endocrine disorders often manifest through palmar hyperhidrosis. Sometimes neurologic conditions are the cause of excessive sweating of the hands. If you are healthy, but your palms are sweating, try to reduce the sweating by using hand baths. A mixture of oak bark and St. John's wort, or a mixture of nettle and sage (2 tablespoons of the mixture should be poured with 2 cups of boiling water and insisted for 40 minutes). Very effective for sweating hands, rubbing a mixture into the skin, which is prepared from 100 ml of table vinegar, 1 teaspoon of drinking soda, 30 ml of glycerin and a pinch of borax, dissolved in 100 ml of water.
