Step 3
The easiest, cheapest and most affordable way to get rid of excess body hair is, of course, shaving. This method is completely painless, does not take much time and does not require any special materials. All you need is a shaving razor with a supply of blades, shaving foam or mousse, which can be replaced with regular soap if necessary, and a lather brush.
Step 4
Apply some shaving cream to the shaving brush and lather the area to be treated. Then remove the foam with a razor along with the hairs in the direction against their growth. This will give you a cleaner surface. Do not press too hard with the razor to avoid cutting yourself. Then rinse the skin with water and pat dry. It is advisable to lubricate it with a soothing cream after shaving to relieve irritation.
Step 5
Shaving results only for a very short time. After a day or two, the first bristle appears and the procedure has to be repeated. If that doesn't suit you, try hot waxing. After it, the hair is removed by the root, and the result lasts for three to four weeks. For home waxing, it is best to purchase ready-made kits that include special cans of wax mixture or cassettes.
Step 6
Before the procedure, cleanse the skin and degrease it with talcum powder. Heat the wax in a water bath to the temperature specified in the instructions. Then apply it evenly on the skin and lay on top of the special strips of paper included in the kit.
Step 7
Wait for the wax to cool slightly and firmly grip the hairs, then pull off the wax strip with a sharp movement in the direction against the hair growth. Hold the skin with your other hand to avoid injury. Remove the remaining wax with a cotton swab dipped in ordinary olive oil or vegetable oil and rinse with water.
