Foundation is the foundation of your makeup. The foundation helps to mask some imperfections. However, there are many subtleties associated with the use of tonal means.
How to choose the right foundation
First of all, when choosing a foundation, you need to focus on the type of skin. For combination or oily skin, modern manufacturers produce sprays or fluid products. This texture virtually eliminates fatty oils. Ideally, your foundation for oily skin contains witch hazel extract or tea tree oil.
The foundation for dry skin was supposed to be moisturizing and nourishing, containing lactic acids and vitamin E, as well as proteins. Foundation for dry skin may seem unusually liquid at first, but it is this consistency that provides proper care for dry skin and maximum masking of imperfections.
Dense creams and various sticks (pencils) are intended for normal skin. And since this type of skin does not have obvious flaws and problems, then, in fact, you can use products of any consistency.
Tips for using foundation
First of all, learn one rule - any decorative cosmetics should be applied to clean skin. Be sure to wash your face with a cleanser and wipe your face with toner. If the skin is not clean enough, then the foundation will lie unevenly.
The tone should not look like a mask on your face, so try to apply the thinnest possible layer of the product. If the foundation seems too thick for you, mix it with a moisturizer in a 1 to 3 ratio.
Remember that foundation is not a panacea and not a magic wand that will hide all the flaws. To hide skin defects, you need to use special means - correctors and concealers, and they must be applied before applying the foundation.
It often happens that we overdo it a little with the application of foundation. In this case, blot your face with a tissue and powder your skin a little. In this case, compact powder cannot be used - only loose powder, since it contains adsorbent particles.
You need to apply foundation from the center to the periphery. If done differently, then fine wrinkles and enlarged pores will be more visible, as they will absorb more of the product. It is also worth noting that it is not recommended to take too much foundation at once - if you apply the cream in small "portions", it will lie more evenly.
