Culinary experts around the world use pumpkin to prepare various dishes. Decorators carve great lanterns and other shapes from this vegetable. However, pumpkin can and should be used not only for these purposes. It is rich in vitamins and is an amazing base for skin care, retaining its beneficial properties from the moment of ripening until late spring.

Pumpkin is a great source of moisturizers and nutrients. In the autumn-winter period, such creams and masks are required for the skin of the hands and face. Pumpkin contains vitamin A and natural sunscreens.
Pumpkin seed oil is also beneficial. It contains vitamins A and E, it fights dry skin perfectly. The oil has moisturizing properties and nourishes the skin, slowing down the aging process. Seed oil is rich in acids, antioxidants, minerals, fats, proteins and zinc. It fights dandruff and acne.
It is easy enough to make pumpkin face masks at home. Such masks will moisturize, nourish the skin, remove minor rashes and fatigue. Homemade body scrubs are also good. They remove dead skin cells, softening and rejuvenating the skin.
Pumpkin mask recipes
On a fine grater, skip 100 grams of pumpkin, add a teaspoon of honey and grind. For thickening, you can add starch or flour. Apply the mask to the face with gentle movements, avoiding the skin around the eyes. Wash off after 15 minutes with warm water.
On a fine grater, skip 100 grams of pulp, cook for 5 minutes, add a couple of tablespoons of milk. Remove from heat, cool, add 1 yolk. Apply the mask avoiding the eye area. After 10-15 minutes, wash off with warm water.
Grate 100 grams of pulp, cook for 5 minutes, adding 1-2 tbsp. spoons of milk. Remove from heat, cool, add 1 tsp. a spoonful of dry yeast and 1 tsp. a spoonful of olive oil or pumpkin seed oil. Leave the mixture for 10 minutes, then apply to the face and neck. After 10-15 minutes, wash off with warm water.
Mash 100 g of boiled or baked pumpkin in mashed potatoes, add half a teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 tbsp. spoons of brown sugar. With a special mitten, apply the mixture with massaging movements on the body. Then rinse with warm water and apply a nourishing or moisturizing cream.
